To this end, they installed sound insulation equipment, installation of spraying devices, etc., to reduce noise and dust emissions. In addition, production time is also agreed with the surrounding residents, in the case of noise standards for limited production.

According to the leak of a calcium carbonate production enterprise in Jiangyou, it was notified by the relevant departments at higher levels that all calcium carbonate enterprises in the whole region had stopped production since July 27, 2017, and environmental protection facilities had been refitted, including the central enterprises of calcium carbonate within their jurisdiction.

Farewell to Calcium Carbonate in Zhangdian District, Zibo City, Shandong Province

In 2016, more than 30 enterprises of "calcium carbonate" were closed down in Fengshui Town, Zhangdian District, Zibo City, Shandong Province.

124 Calcium Carbonate Enterprises in Jiande, Zhejiang Province were Closed

Beginning in 2016, Jiande Ju City of Zhejiang Province has been making great efforts to promote the improvement of the calcium carbonate industry, forcing the transformation and upgrading of the calcium carbonate industry.

At present, 124 closed calcium carbonate enterprises in Jiande City have been closed down, and 33 retained and restructured calcium carbonate enterprises have started rectification and upgrading.

According to Xu Wenquan, deputy director of Jiande Economic and Credit Bureau, all enterprises that fail to meet the regulation requirements before the end of August will be put into practice the measures of shutting down production.

According to the geological department, there are 4.8 billion tons of limestone in the upper town of Quzhou, Zhejiang Province. Relying on the advantages of rich limestone and calcite resources, calcium carbonate has become the traditional leading industry of the upper town after years of development, and was awarded the title of "China's calcium carbonate base" as early as 2006. However, such an important calcium carbonate base has not escaped this disaster. In the past three years, nearly 200 calcium carbonate enterprises have been shut down.

On June 19, 2017, 40 heavy calcium carbonate enterprises were completely closed down.

On September 30, 2016, eight light calcium carbonate enterprises in the town were closed down.

November 30, 2015: 67 ash and calcium plants were completely closed down.

September 30, 2015: 75 lime-soil kilns were shut down.

In order to promote the restructuring and transformation of calcium carbonate enterprises, the local government has set up a special service group to provide one-to-one assistance in project approval, land approval, equipment and technology, and product quality.

Up to now, 4 of 10 heavy and light calcium restructuring projects have been basically completed and 6 other projects will be completed and put into operation by the end of July.

Why are so many calcium carbonate enterprises shut down?

1. The production capacity of middle and low-end calcium carbonate is excessive. It is sooner or later that some small and medium-sized calcium carbonate enterprises are shut down. Environmental protection supervision and safety rectification just accelerate this process.

2. Some calcium carbonate enterprises are backward in technology. Many calcium carbonate enterprises can only produce 100-purpose calcium carbonate powder. The market price is less than 80 yuan per ton. And if it is 2500 purpose calcium carbonate powder, the price is 100 times different from the former, and the use is more extensive.

3. Heavy calcium carbonate grinding process is easy to produce dust, light calcium carbonate production needs calcination, powder pollution and kilns are the focus of environmental inspection, while ordinary small and medium-sized calcium carbonate enterprises have no capital and capacity for environmental protection equipment.

4. Enterprises have no intention or strength to upgrade equipment and install environmental protection devices.

5. Most calcium carbonate enterprises have problems such as small scale, large environmental pollution, high energy consumption, low per mu performance, poor process equipment and so on. The local government has to "abandon"!
